Managing your references library can become challenging when duplicate records accumulate. EndNote 21 provides a simple way to identify and remove these duplicates, helping you maintain a clean and organized library.
Following are the steps to find and remove duplicate references:
Click on "Library" in the Menu Bar: Open EndNote 21 and select the "Library" option from the menu bar at the top of the screen.
Select "Find Duplicates": From the dropdown menu, click on "Find Duplicates." EndNote will scan your library for duplicate records.
Review Duplicate Records: A window will appear showing the duplicate records. You can compare the details of each duplicate.
Click on "Keep This Record": Choose the record you want to retain by clicking on "Keep This Record." The duplicate version will be deleted automatically.
By following these steps, you can efficiently manage your references and ensure your library remains free of duplicates.
