Creating a New Library

  1. Prompt to Create a New Library: When you first open EndNote, you will be prompted with the option to "Create a new library." Click on this option to start creating your new library.

  2. Alternative Method:

    • Click on "File" in the menu bar.
    • Select "New" from the drop-down menu.
    • A default file name, "My EndNote Library," will appear. You can change this name and specify the location where you want to save your library.
    • Click "Save" to create your new library.

Opening an Existing Library

  1. Click on "File" in the menu bar.

  2. Select "Open Library" from the drop-down menu.

  3. Choose Your Library: Navigate to the location of your existing library file, select it, and click "Open."

By following these steps, you can easily create a new library or access an existing one in EndNote 21.
