Entrepreneurial Enterprise and Corporate Renewal

This course will explore the elements and practices of entrepreneurship, providing individuals with fundamental knowledge and practices to establish a media/communications start-up or corporate venture, and giving them planning experience in preparing a new firm and business plan. It canvasses theories and approaches to entrepreneurship, processes, practices, evaluation, financing, gaining buy-in and refreshing organizational structures for sustainable change. It will focus on the leadership competencies of change and innovation, thinking and acting strategically. It will foster the leadership skills necessary to generate a culture of entrepreneurship and innovation in media firms.
