The American Board of Radiology is an independent, not-for-profit organization and is one of 24 national medical specialty boards that make up the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS). We were founded to protect the public by assessing and certifying doctors who meet specific educational, training, and professional requirements.


 


Founded in 1923, the American College of Radiology is at the forefront of radiology evolution, representing more than 38,000 radiologists, radiation oncologists, nuclear medicine physicians and medical physicists. The purpose of the ACR is to serve patients and society by empowering members to advance the practice, science and professions of radiological care.

 


The Canadian Association of Radiologists (CAR) is the national specialty society for radiologists in Canada. We are committed to promoting the highest standards of patient care, lifelong learning, research, and helping radiologists contribute to the very best health care for patients.
