The American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) was founded in 1947 to promote the science and art of family medicine. It is one of the largest medical organizations in the United States, with over 131,400 members. Its mission is to improve the health of patients, families, and communities by serving the needs of members with professionalism and creativity. 

The American Board of Family Medicine is one of 24 medical specialty boards that make up the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS). Through ABMS, the boards work together to establish common standards for physicians to achieve and maintain board certification.

The Collaborative Family Healthcare Association (CFHA) is a multi-guild member association whose goal is to make integrated care the standard of care across the United States and beyond.  CFHA supports healthcare professionals in integrating physical and behavioral health. 

Pakistan Academy of Family Physicians is the sole and true representative organization of  Family Doctors / General Practitioners in Pakistan, with over two thousand dedicated members from all over the country. Our journey commenced in 1989 from a small office in Bashir Medical Centre Lahore and since then we are progressing relentlessly.
