American College of Surgeons

The ACS is a scientific and educational association of surgeons that was founded in 1912 to improve the quality of care for the surgical patient by setting high standards for surgical education and practice. The ACS provides membership for doctors worldwide specializing in surgery who pass a set of rigorous qualifications.

American Surgical Association

The American Surgical Association was founded in 1880 and is the nation's oldest and most prestigious surgical organization. Its members include the nation’s most prominent surgeons from the country's leading academic medical institutions, many of whom are Chairs of the Departments of Surgery at these institutions. Membership also includes leading surgeons from around the world, making it much more than an American association

BMJ Global Health

Surgical Society of Kenya

Surgical Society of Kenya (SSK) was founded as a premier society of surgical health, committed to the welfare and education of Surgeons, research, access as well as advocacy, collaboration and mobilization of resources in Kenya.

The society id divided into three main divisions that include: Membre Service which deals with the welfare of its members in terms of residents fora, social programs, mentorship and participation in surgical camps. The second division is the Surgical Quality and Access, which deals with quality surgical care services which entails programs for both education and lobbing for change of policy in critical health and surgical areas. The third division is that of Surgical Education that deals with coordination of continuous education sessions in the form of half-day symposia or shorter sessions for members in Nairobi and outside the capital city.
