Surgical Society of Kenya (SSK) was founded as a premier society of surgical health, committed to the welfare and education of Surgeons, research, access as well as advocacy, collaboration and mobilization of resources in Kenya. The society id divided into three main divisions that include: Membre Service which deals with the welfare of its members in terms of residents fora, social programs, mentorship and participation in surgical camps. The second division is the Surgical Quality and Access, which deals with quality surgical care services which entails programs for both education and lobbing for change of policy in critical health and surgical areas. The third division is that of Surgical Education that deals with coordination of continuous education sessions in the form of half-day symposia or shorter sessions for members in Nairobi and outside the capital city. |
