OpenAthens Login Process
OpenAthens is an access management system that provides a smooth way for users to authenticate and access subscribed online resources. By following the below mentioned steps, you can access the databases remotely.
Step 1: Preparing for Login
Ensure you have a stable internet connection and your AKU credentials ready, including your AKU official email address (e.g., abc123@aku.edu) and your official email password.
Step 2: Accessing the Login Page
Navigate to the login page. Click on the institutional login option to proceed.
Step 3: Selecting Aga Khan University (Pakistan)
On the login page, select the OpenAthens Federation from the list of available federations. Then, search for and select “Aga Khan University (Pakistan)” from the list of institutions.
Step 4: Entering Your Credentials
You will be redirected to the following AKU’s authentication page. Enter your AKU official email address (e.g., abc123@aku.edu) and your official email password.
Step 5: Accessing Resources
Once authenticated, you will be directed to the Database. From there, you can access the subscribed resources and databases provided by AKU.
