The Global Library of Women's Medicine is a free and public online bibliographic database launched on 20 November 2008. Its purpose is to provide expert support to obstetricians, gynecologists, and reproductive health professionals.
The site is contributed to by over 750 specialists and its main feature is 446 specially commissioned chapters on most aspects of women's medicine, constantly reviewed and updated. The site also includes a section on laboratory tests, a video library of surgical procedures, a collection of color atlases of visual medicine, lectures, and sections on safer motherhood and women's reproductive rights.
The American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) was founded in 1947 to promote the science and art of family medicine. It is one of the largest medical organizations in the United States, with over 131,400 members. Its mission is to improve the health of patients, families, and communities by serving the needs of members with professionalism and creativity.
The American Board of Family Medicine is one of 24 medical specialty boards that make up the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS). Through ABMS, the boards work together to establish common standards for physicians to achieve and maintain board certification.

MAT is registered as a professional association under the societies ordinance SONO 4102. It was formed in 1965. The association brings together Medical professionals eligible for practice in Tanzania.
The Medical Council of Tanganyika is a statutory body which was been established in 1959 under Section 3 of the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Ordinance, Ca 409. This ordinance was revise in 2002 and is now called the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Act, Cap, 152 (2002 RE) of the Laws of Tanzania. The Council is mandated power to oversee medical and dental practice in Tanzania.
